A news items today...

There is nothng in the news today worth spending much time on.

Instead of teaching north korea a valuable lesson, the un wants to send them more aid and money. That would be great except there is no guarantee that any aid sent to the starving people will ever reach them. That seems to be fine with the un, it probably isn't real good with the people who really need it though.

obama has odered a carrier, The USS George Washington, to the yellow sea. We are going to run run joint exercises with the South Koreans. That's great, but how does that do anything to prevent north korea from acting stupid again? Last time we ran joint exercises the north koreans sank a South Korean ship. A few cruise missles would be a little more persuasive.

The tsa is still treating average Americans like criminals. Imagine that. Most people decided not to opt out. They are probably just wanting to get the humiliation far behind them as quickly as possible so they can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.

The cost of operating Air Force One is about $182,000 per hour. Do you think that will deter obama from traveling all over the place kissing the asses of foreign leaders or pimping policies that nobody wants? Don't count on it. He has no clue where the money comes from, either that or he doesn't care. I don't know which one is worse...

China will probably kick us to the curb on the north korea incident. Why do we need their buy in to begin with? Do you think they would risk damaging their economic relationship with us by supporting north korea with troops? Maybe, but not very likely. We spend many billions of dollars with them every year...
