As it stands right now rahm emanuel has been kicked off of the Chicago mayoral ballot. As it turns out, you have to have lived in Chicago for at least one year prior to running for mayor. As we all know, emanuel was in Washington helping obama turn our Country into a third world socialist utopia.
As with any chicago politician, he was looking to make a few extra bucks while he was gone so he rented out his house. That cost him is residency.
You can bet that at the end of the day, his name will be on that ballot. Some rahm loving liberal will figure out a way to circumvent the rules and he will be allowed to run and probably win. obama will probably intercede on his behalf and just appoint him mayor. No need for an actual election or the rules that go along with it.
rahm is trying to say that since he was helping obama ruin our Country he should be exempt from the residency rule. As we were shown by the obama administration, rules don't really mean much to chicago politicians. If they don't like them they either make up their own or just figure out a way to break the rules...
